Modelling and Forecasting

Through our own skill base and our contacts with other organisations we provide a range of powerful mathematical tools for addressing issues that are often not amenable to more traditional qualitative techniques.  These include fuzzy clustering, non-linear modelling, agent based modelling and Monte-Carlo simulations.   Modelling household waste and electricity demands (DEFRA), the impact of exchange rate changes on spending by different nationalities of tourists (Historic Royal Palaces), the role of ideal pricing strategies for regional newspapers (Trinity Mirror) – these are just some examples of the work that we carry out.

Recent forecasting projects include work for Listerine – The future of oral health, The IPA The future of agencies and advertising: A 10 year perspective, NS&I – 50 years of savings, and DEFRA – The future of waste management.
